Local Burger is a family owned and operated restaurant in downtown Northampton, Massachusetts.

Our goal is to provide fresh food at fair prices, while supporting the local community through the use of local meat, produce and products. For example, the grass fed beef that we use comes from Chicoine Farm located in Easthampton, MA less than 5 miles away and River Rock Farm in Brimfield, MA.

A message from one of our suppliers: "Greetings from the Chicoine Family Farm! Established in 1933, my father Henry Chicoine operated a dairy farm. Now  we offer delicious, healthy grass fed beef. I began building the herd in the 1970's on nothing but the grass growing in our own pastures. We offer beef free of antibiotics, hormones, and steroids, etc. The grass they eat has never been treated with any pesticides or herbacides. Our herd grazes freely all spring summer and fall, living peacefully on our pastures. In the winter, they are fed the sun-dried hay that we produce all summer. We keep our animals healthy and well nourished by making sure our land is healthy and fertile with protein rich legumes and grasses that grow naturally. We are confident that you will taste the difference. Thank you."

One customer wrote, "I just got home from my first Local Burger meal...YUM. We got a burger with cheddar and mushrooms and a turkey burger with bacon and cheddar, plus fries on the side. It was about $18 with a soda. It was all really tasty and my burger was made with Chicoine Farm grass fed beef (Easthampton). The "local farm" burger is $5.99 and the regular burger is a dollar cheaper. Both types of beef are hormone- and anti-biotic free, and I am so happy to be able to get that quality of meat in a restaurant. The onion rings looked ridiculous--obviously freshly made, not pre-made and frozen. Next time I'm getting those!"

When you are in Keene, NH look for our restaurant there as well.
