Two hundred years ago, the Barstow family settled in Hadley Massachusetts. Presently the owners of Barstow's Longview Farm, Inc., are sixth generation family farmers on their ancestral land. The farm is situated in a small picturesque hamlet called "Hockanum" which has been designated a National Historic District on Rt. 47, a Historic Scenic Byway in Hadley, MA. Barstow's Longview Farm has been a working dairy farm since the early 1800's and is presently run by two brothers, Steven and David.
In order to enhance the community's awareness of the importance of farming and the importance of all people being stewards to the land, the Barstows are very interested to have people visit their farm store and find out the various ways to connect to the work that happens on their farm.
