This is a full-time management position located at the Common Capital office. The position provides benefits as described in the Common Capital Employee Handbook. Common Capital is an equal opportunity employer and provider.


Minimum Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, related field or commensurate experience.
Have owned a business for at least five years
Have experience in program design and management.
Have three years' experience providing business assistance, teaching entrepreneurship or other similar activity.
Have experience with business plan development and financial statements.
Capacity to communicate effectively with diverse constituencies.
Must be creative, flexible and a team player.


Responsible for designing and implementing Common Capital's business assistance activities including workshops, classes and 1:1 consulting
Coordinate pre-loan and post-loan business assistance activities with Common Capital clients
Provide material for business assistance on the CCI website
Responsible for the establishment of vetted consultants for both general and specialty consulting
Create and maintain a business assistance center at CCI
Make public presentations related to business assistance at partner organizations
Oversees the business assistance program marketing and participates in the design of the annual marketing plan as a member of the marketing team.
Exercises good judgment in all aspects of the duties and responsibilities associated with this position. Demonstrate professional, considerate, cooperative and constructive attitudes and behaviors when working with other staff members, loan clients, Board members, and the general public.
Maintains the confidentiality of agency, client, and staff information.
Understands and accepts some unpredictability as the nature of the job
