The ceremony taking place at the newest Big Y location in Franklin, MA marks the supermarket reaching significant recycling and composting benchmarks as well as innovative energy efficiency and renewable energy technologies.

Recently, I was asked by my brother-in-law to explain something about my professional life that he has never quite understood. A staunch capitalist, he believes that money motivates. This special no interest loan offers our members the ability to finance an individual share at any local CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) farm and spread their payments over six months. An enrollment/renewal form from their farm of choice is needed at the time of request. UMassFive will then pay the farms up-front in full. There is no cost to farms or members to participate in this program.
